i'm done with McNuggets... thanks for getting the word out.
I'd urge you to look into this further. I have zero respect for PETA and their tactics. They lost me when they printed up colouring books called "Your Daddy Kills Animals" as an attempt to vilify anglers to their own children. I wouldn't trust their word on anything.

And if that's not sick enough, there's always Your Mommy Kills Animals. Great messages to give kidlets about their parents.

Thanks for the awarenes, on both sides of the debate. I do think there are unnecessary cruelties in the meat industry but I also think PETA frequently crosses lines of reason.
I appreciate your comment Hilary. PETA isn't the only group bringing this problem to light. And I've seen many undercover videos. I don't agree 100% with all of PETA's campaigns, but I do agree with this one. Many/most slaughterhouses spare no humane quarter for defenseless animals.
I often stand in our co-op back home and sigh in despair at the limited choices with kid appeal. Sure, there are the veggie/soy nuggets...but I can't wait for the next wave of clean eating to come along and embrace meat/poultry distribution so that I can buy my kids Respectfully Raised Nuggets.
Of course, they'll be 32 by the time all this happens, but, dammit, why do you keep saying I can't force my 32 year olds to eat chicken nuggets? WHY?
OMG!! I had no idea and I couldn't watch the whole thing. It made me sick to my stomach and I cried.
Argh!!
Hugs

That's horrifying.
That is freaking disgusting. What bothers me the most other that the cruelty is how it's possible to go to Mcshiteville and order a bag of processed shite for less than $5. Go to your local grocery store and try to assemble a decent healthy meal for a family of 4 for $5, good luck.
Bullshit.....
done
I've never had a mc nugget and I won't now either. This is unbelievably callous. My husband is Navajo and believe it or not, when they hunt and kill an animal for food, they actually treat the game with respect and go so far as to say a prayer of thanks. This is so uncivilized it turns my stomach. I'm not much of a meat eater anyway, but this might convince me to go all the way.
I signed. Totally with you on this. We have chickens here on the farm and they roam free during the day. They all have names and personalities. And they give us the best eggs. There's got to be a more human way to raise animals for consumption.
Thanks for posting this.
Thanks for getting the word out. Signed the petition.
I'm not a huge fan of PETA, but I do think the way animals are treated in commercial farming is appalling. Of course, I don't eat mammal or bird, so it's a non-issue for me in terms of a boycott.
I don't need any further encouragement to tell people not to eat there, and short of an order of fries when there's literally been no alternative I never have. Bravo to you for caring about animal welfare and taking an opportunity to do something.
People actually eat McDonalds Mcnuggets? We should all boycott them because they suck.
BTW, I'm not for animal cruelty, but the PETA folks are generally idiots who will say anything in order to spread their message.
After all, didn't Tommy Lee think that the Seaworld folks were whacking off whales with cow vaginas? And when I say cow vagina's, I'm not talking about Miriah Carey either. Now THAT would be cruel... For the whale.
That is some sick shizz-nit! Duly noted.
Don't do fast food, due to my allergies.
Now I'm glad.
you rock, girly.
OMG. That is disgusting. I seriously could only watch the first 15 seconds. And usually that stuff doesn't "bother" me. :(
But, yeah, I agree with most everyone else about PETA: They're NUTS. But that is still sick.
I'm gonna echo Hilary a bit on this. Propaganda is propaganda, and both sides know how to play the game.
However, this wouldn't totally surprise me. I already don't eat at McD's because I find their food disgusting. Now, I'll always have this in the back of my mind.
Happy meal indeed....
