Naked Abandon

I have been running amok. Since my daughter TG took her kids and her husband and left town for the land of Mickey Mouse and manatees, I have been left to my own devices in our big, blissfully kid-free house. In celebration, I wasted no time in throwing off my clothes. Every stitch.

For the last eight days, I've broken all the rules, broken out of my shell, and broken the lamp behind the couch. How, you ask? Suffice to say (and don't tell my daughter), I had a hard time coming to a full stop. But you know how it is when Journey is blasting through your speakers: Don't stop believin', Hold on to that feelin', yeah . . .

Of course -- and I hesitate to admit this -- I have forever warped my new cat's sense of propriety with my unabashed naked abandon and the lightspeed at which I have been dashing from room to room, just because I could. Not that she didn't catch on fast. She's a great streaking partner -- she's always naked, after all. Probably, though, she would complain about the odd squeals that keep shooting out of me whenever I get the weird vibe that somebody might be peeking through the blinds.

Sadly, today it all ends. Son-in-law is flying in at 6-ish tonight, effectively putting the kabosh on all my wayward whims.

Oh, man! I'll have to go buy a new lamp too -- damn it! That means I have to go put on clothes earlier than I thought. Sorry, no more time for dillydallying. Until next time.

ROFLMAO That's a great story. I absolutely love being completely alone in the house, no other humans around. And running around nekkid with abandon is the absolute best. Good for you!!

So, were you sliding on wood floors like Tom Cruise.... at least he had the decency to wear underwear... lol

Glad you are having fun.

Dancing naked around the house is great...been way too long...how good for you. I did read Midlifes story yesterday and laughed so hard.

I hope you weren't sliding on the wood floors. Ouch! Splinters! Rock and roll music is the lifeblood of our generation (and, I imagine, generations to come). And, being naked and free has been enjoyed by the truly self-expressed throughout the ages. I actually have good friends who are nudists and are always trying to get us to come along for the ride. Maybe after I lose another five pounds...;-)

I did a nekkid streak through the house from my bedroom to the laundry room to find underwear and we've got solid windows in the back. Guess who was in the backyard doing pool maintenance??

Yep, you guessed it.......no one. Thank God!!!

Beloved and I do that every time we get home from putting The Young One on a plane to Texas for a visit to his "other" family. We haven't broken any lamps, but the neighbors have started taking note of when the boy is no longer here, so they can begin avoiding looking in the windows.

I have been trying to think of a clever comment I could leave that would not make me seem like a perv.

Can't do it.

Yeah! Naked time is the best...

We all do it...really. :)

You're hilarious. I can just picture you now, buck naked and flying into a lamp.

I myself am not comfortable being entirely nekkid, but hey, each to her own is my motto. Glad you could have fun while it lasted!

I'd been over sooner if I knew there was a party going on! :)

Saw Journey live and it was a hot concert. Caught Steve Perry’s final tour several years ago, pink suit, pony tail, and it rocked! I can picture you running around... sure spoils my I bought a new mirror for the living room story. : ) Where’s the link to the video, or is it still in the police evidence lock up?

Ahhhhh...if only it weren't so painful run around nekkid. Painful for me cuz my dang boobs tend bounce around willy-nilly and hit me in the face. Painful for anyone who might catch a glimpse cuz...well, just painful.

Okay, sad to say it, but I've gone and gotten dressed. Had to. The J.O.B., you know. And the SIL has returned, of course. Have to be all prim and proper Mom now. Shit.

Thanks for all the great smart remarks. You all make every day better!
